The Restaurant

In 1986 Lanfranco Centofanti and Maria Teresa Lucangeli opened L’Angolo d’Abruzzo with the ides of proposing simple dishes based on seasonal availability of ingredients and on tradition.
Since then the restaurant’s journey has become synonymous with respect for the land, for pastoral farming and for eco-sustainable agriculture.  It has become known for respect for clients, which are served fresh products depending on what the local farmer has to offer that day.
Basically, a revival of the territory’s cuisine, with a style that Lanfranco likes to define as agro-pastoral, a style which has make him a reference point for the Abruzzo restaurant industry.

Cold cuts, unique kinds of ricotta and cheeses, mushrooms, truffles, local vegetables and wild herbs, prime meats, pastries and mouth-watering homemade desserts, bread fresh from the oven are always present on a well-set table, in a refined and elegant, but at the same time familiar, atmosphere that is warm and welcoming and makes anyone feel at home.

The journey continues accompanied by passion and by research and overall by the continuity of flavours:  in the dining area you’ll find Valentina with her youthful freshness and her exquisite kindness and in the kitchen there is Valerio who’s mission is to safeguard tradition and territoriality by reassessing old recipes with an intelligent and subtle curiosity for novelties.

Lanfranco always governs the fireplace and the grill, he deals with various cold cuts and cheeses with expertise. He approaches the meat to be grilled with passion, but most of all it is in the choice of wines that his experience and deep knowledge of viticulture, as a professional sommelier, towers.  Recently the upper level of the restaurant has been renovated and reserved for meetings, ceremonies and business conferences.
